Like all our frame drums, it is handmade in our workshop. It has a synthetic, vegan FiberClassic membrane with a natural sound, resistant to moisture. You can tune the drum thanks to the tuning system using screws inside the rim. This allows you to easily adjust the sound using a key, which is always delivered together with the drum.

    We install four types of proprietary solutions, vegan membranes in DoubleYou Drums. Each type of synthetic membranes has been developed at DoubleYouDrums to ensure repeatable properties. The varied structure of individual drumhead models allows for different sound characteristics and an individualized dynamic response to the musician’s articulation.

    FiberClassic: Classic, open sound with long decay, stable tone, fast attack, clear transients, rich harmonics.

    DrumEssence: Deep, full sound with shorter decay and minimally fewer harmonics.

    EarthTone: Warm, natural sound, soft texture, short decay, soft attack.

    DeepGround: Strong attack, short decay, “grounding” deep low sound.

    DoubleYouDrums WOODEN FRAMES are hand-crafted.

    In DoubleYouDrums frame drums, the layered construction ensures high stability. This prevents the warping and deformation that often affects solid wood components. Thanks to this, the drum retains its properties better over years of intensive use.

    Thanks to the tuning system, DoubleYouDrums frame drums can be precisely tuned with screws inside the rim. This is a convenient solution that works both outdoors and in a recording studio.
