In shamanism, a tree is a very important symbol. During a shamanic journey, it connects the lower, middle and upper worlds, and with its help we get to these regions. Ash in Nordic culture is also this connector, Axis Mundi, it marks the axis of the world. The roots of the family tree connect us with our ancestors (the past), the trunk is us and the present, and the crown is the future and descendants. By wandering along this axis consciously, we are able to see many connections and solve our conflicts or difficult matters.
Ancient souls live in the trees, I see and feel them as the most exquisite creatures on this planet, the calmest observers, always there, comforting companions.
